ECS Group Celebrates Six Months of Cargo Growth with JetSMART Airlines Across South America

Share

ECS Group, the world’s leading GSSA, is marking six months of rapid expansion and operational excellence with JetSMART, South America’s ultra-low-cost airline group.

The partnership, based on a four-year Total Cargo Management (TCM) contract, gives ECS Group oversight of more than 25,000 annual flights across JetSMART’s four AOCs in Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Argentina.

Strong Infrastructure and Digital Innovation

A team of 25 ECS cargo specialists has built a comprehensive commercial and technical framework, enabling services across eight countries and fourteen major destinations, including Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Medellín, and Montevideo.

Operations are coordinated through a digitalized Control Tower in San José, Costa Rica, which ensures real-time supervision, compliance, and agility for JetSMART’s growing A320/A321 fleet.

Using advanced digital platforms such as Apollo, Quantum, and CargoAi, ECS provides real-time analytics and booking solutions, giving freight forwarders seamless access to domestic and international cargo corridors.

Beyond Traditional GSA Services

ECS Group’s TCM approach goes beyond conventional GSA duties by integrating ramp and security coordination, as well as hands-on auditing to align operational standards across JetSMART’s network.

The partnership’s strategic goal is to open the airline’s entire passenger network to cargo by end-2025, with more than 25 interline agreements pending to strengthen connections to the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Looking ahead to 2026, ECS Group will focus on e-commerce growth through regional warehousing, the launch of an express cargo product, and new strategic alliances.
