Riege Software and CargoAi Expand Partnership to Enhance Airfreight Shipment Tracking

Share

Riege Software has expanded its partnership with CargoAi to integrate CargoCONNECT’s Track & Trace API into Scope, Riege’s transport management system for freight forwarders.

The integration enhances Scope’s Airline Messaging Premium capability by providing users with standardised airline shipment events directly within their existing operational environment.

By automatically bringing key shipment milestones into Scope, the solution is designed to improve shipment visibility, reduce manual tracking work and enable freight forwarders to respond more quickly to customers.

Enhanced airfreight tracking through CargoCONNECT

CargoAi’s Track & Trace API has been embedded into Scope’s Airline Messaging Premium feature, strengthening Riege Software’s focus on connected and data-driven airfreight operations.

The integration addresses a common challenge for freight forwarders: incomplete shipment event data can force operations teams to search individual airline websites for departure and arrival information, manually transfer data and update missing milestones within their transport management systems.

The new capability also improves visibility across import shipments, where tracking gaps have traditionally been more prevalent.

Tracking across more than 260 airlines

Through the Track & Trace API, Scope users can monitor shipments across more than 260 airlines, with shipment events automatically retrieved and standardised.

The capability supports import, export, consolidated, back-to-back and direct air shipments for both IATA and non-IATA freight forwarders.

Airline Messaging Premium provides standardised visibility across key milestones, including FWB, RCS, MAN, DEP, ARR, RCF, NFD and DLV events.

During a 2026 pilot with Riege Software, the solution achieved up to 91.3% export and 90.2% import event coverage. Overall, key event coverage can reach up to 90%, depending on airline and shipment data availability.

Benjamin Riege, CMO at Riege Software, said the expanded partnership would further improve the way freight forwarders manage airfreight operations.

“Our partnership with CargoAi enables freight forwarders to access airfreight rates and booking capabilities directly within Scope.

“With the Track & Trace API as the latest addition to this collaboration, we can now further enhance shipment visibility, improve milestone coverage and reduce manual flight research, helping our customers manage the full airfreight workflow more efficiently from their daily operational system.”
