AIR ONE Launches Scheduled B747 Freighter Services Connecting UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia

AIR ONE is expanding its global all-cargo capabilities with the launch of scheduled Boeing 747-400 freighter operations, linking major freight hubs across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Starting 2 September 2025, the new schedule includes four weekly flights from East Midlands Airport (EMA) in the UK and Liège Airport (LGG) in Belgium, bound for Dubai World Central (DWC) and Hong Kong (HKG). Return services will operate from Hong Kong to both EMA and LGG.

The flights will be operated by One Air, AIR ONE’s affiliated British cargo airline, using its fleet of Boeing 747-400 freighters, including two nose-loading aircraft to accommodate outsized cargo.

To support the rollout, AIR ONE has partnered with ATC Aviation Services AG under a general sales and service agency (GSSA) agreement. ATC will manage cargo sales from 22 countries across mainland Europe, the UK, and Ireland for the outbound flights to Dubai and Hong Kong. AIR ONE’s in-house sales team in Hong Kong will handle bookings for the return leg to Europe.

In addition to air services, customers will have access to a comprehensive road feeder network that connects key airports across the UK and Europe, further enhancing end-to-end cargo distribution.

Peter Scholten, Chief Commercial Officer, AIR ONE, said:
“Launching scheduled cargo services is a new strategic step for AIR ONE and a natural progression from our successful charter and wet lease operations. Having completed over 3,750 full charters carrying more than 345,000 tonnes of cargo to 100+ global destinations in the past five years, we’ve proven our all-cargo credentials. The introduction of scheduled flights strengthens our market position and meets rising demand from key markets across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.”

AIR ONE currently oversees operations for a fleet of 11 Boeing 747-400 freighters, working in partnership with three cargo airlines. The company has confirmed further fleet expansion plans for 2025–2026.

Guneet Mirchandani, Executive Chairman, AIR ONE, added:
“With our experienced in-house team, a trusted operating partner in One Air, and a strong GSSA in ATC Aviation, we’re confident about our entry into the scheduled freighter market. We look forward to serving both long-time charter clients and new regular shippers on our launch routes.”

Ingo Zimmer, CEO of ATC Aviation Services AG, commented:
“We are very proud to represent this fast-growing freighter airline in most of the European markets. This partnership opens exciting new opportunities for cargo customers seeking reliable capacity on high-demand trade lanes.”

AIR ONE’s new scheduled services reinforce its transformation from a charter-focused operator into a fully integrated cargo airline network, with enhanced flexibility and capacity for shippers across global markets.
