WestJet Cargo Joins WebCargo & 7LFreight

WestJet Cargo has joined Freightos’ WebCargo and 7LFreight platforms, enhancing access to its cargo capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia.

This partnership allows freight forwarders to view real-time rates, make e-bookings, and process payments online for WestJet Cargo’s airfreight services. Capacity will be available on WebCargo for key routes from Calgary (YYC) to major hubs like Tokyo Narita (NRT), London Heathrow (LHR), and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG).

WebCargo users can also access WestJet Cargo’s specialized transport solutions for perishables, pharmaceuticals, high-value goods, and time-sensitive shipments.

“We’re excited to expand WestJet Cargo’s reach to freight forwarders worldwide,” said Kirsten De Bruijn, executive vice president at WestJet Cargo. “This collaboration ensures seamless access to our services on essential trade lanes while meeting evolving global trade demands.”

Wayne Tyndall, vice president of commercial freight forwarders & airlines at Freightos, added, “WestJet Cargo strengthens WebCargo and 7LFreight, connecting thousands of forwarders to over 100 destinations, including key markets for perishables and pharmaceuticals.”

Freightos has facilitated tens of thousands of eBookings from Europe to Canada, and WestJet Cargo’s addition provides more options for key routes.

This follows WestJet Cargo’s integration with booking portal cargo.one last year.
