TransFollow and Alpega Form Strategic Partnership

Digital freight documentation provider TransFollow and transportation management system provider Alpega have announced a new partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of electronic freight documentation across Europe.

The collaboration will integrate TransFollow’s electronic consignment note (eCMR) capabilities into Alpega’s transport management platform, helping customers streamline documentation processes and prepare for evolving regulatory requirements.

Supporting Europe’s Shift to Digital Freight Documentation

The partnership comes as momentum around eCMR adoption continues to grow ahead of the European Union’s Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) Regulation.

The regulation requires EU Member States and authorities to support the exchange of electronic freight transport information, driving increased demand for digital solutions across the logistics sector.

Simplifying Cross-Border Transport Operations

Through the integration, transport companies will gain access to a more connected workflow, reducing reliance on:

  • Manual documentation processes
  • Disconnected systems
  • Country-specific paperwork requirements

The companies said the solution is designed to modernise day-to-day transport operations without adding complexity for drivers, carriers or back-office teams.

Improving Efficiency and Compliance

Moritz Rössler, Manager Sales International at TransFollow, said the partnership provides customers with a practical route to modernising freight operations while reducing administrative burden.

He noted that combining secure digital freight data exchange with Alpega’s TMS platform will enable faster, more accurate information sharing across borders.

Preparing Customers for Regulatory Change

Michael Böckle, Senior Vice President Sales Strategy, Alliances & Presales at Alpega, said the partnership offers customers a clear pathway toward regulatory compliance as digital freight documentation becomes mandatory in more European markets.

He highlighted the strong technical integration, commercial alignment and shared focus on digital innovation between the two companies.

Driving Digital Transformation in European Logistics

The partnership reflects the wider digital transformation underway across the European logistics industry, where companies are increasingly investing in connected systems to improve efficiency, visibility and compliance.

By integrating eCMR functionality directly into transport management workflows, TransFollow and Alpega aim to help accelerate the transition toward fully digital, cross-border freight operations across Europe.
