Trans Global Projects launches dedicated airfreight department in Bremen

Trans Global Projects (TGP) has strengthened its global logistics capabilities with the launch of a dedicated airfreight department in Bremen, Germany, marking a significant expansion of its services for time-critical and complex cargo movements.

The new Bremen-based department operates under its own IATA licence, giving TGP full operational control over airfreight activities while ensuring full compliance with international aviation and safety standards. The move underlines TGP’s strategic focus on engineered airfreight solutions for urgent, oversized, and high-value shipments.

To lead the new operation, TGP has appointed Tobias Teichmann as Head of Airfreight Germany. Teichmann brings more than ten years of experience in managing complex airfreight projects. He previously served as Airfreight Manager at Alexander Global Logistics and spent nearly a decade at Kopf & Lübben, where he specialised in charter solutions and engineered transport. He is also a Certified Transport Specialist from DAV, a leading German academy for international trade and transport.

The Bremen team will complement TGP’s existing airfreight expertise across its global network, including Natco’s established operations in Rümlang, Switzerland, and specialised airfreight capabilities in Brazil. These locations have long supported urgent and oversized cargo movements, providing tailored charter solutions and engineering-led planning for complex shipments.

TGP’s airfreight credentials were highlighted in October 2025 when the company was named Airfreight Solution of the Year by Heavy Lift and Project Forwarding International (HLPFI) magazine. The award recognised TGP’s delivery of a six-ton slewing ring from Germany to China in record time. The project involved custom engineering and innovative load planning to fit the cargo into a Boeing 777F, reducing transit time by more than 30 days compared with ocean transport.

Operations in Bremen will follow the same precision-driven approach. Commenting on the launch, Tobias Teichmann said:

“The department in Bremen gives our clients direct access to specialised airfreight solutions with full IATA accreditation. It’s about speed, safety and flexibility—delivered by a team that understands the complexity of project cargo.”

Andreas Menzel, Managing Director Germany and Benelux, added:

“This investment reflects our long-term commitment to Northern Europe. Bremen will serve as a key hub for urgent shipments and engineered solutions, supported by Natco’s airfreight and air charter expertise and our global resources.”

Colin Charnock, Group CEO of Trans Global Projects, said airfreight remains central to the company’s strategy:

“By combining technical know-how with operational agility, we ensure our clients receive reliable uplift and clear communication from booking through to final delivery.”

With the Bremen department now fully operational and IATA licensed under number 23475620000, TGP aims to deliver reliable and efficient airfreight services across Europe and beyond. The expansion builds on experience gained through charter operations in Switzerland and established capabilities in Brazil, reinforcing TGP’s focus on expert, tailored airfreight solutions for the global project cargo market.
