Suparna Airlines has strengthened its presence at Liège Airport with the arrival of its second Boeing 777F, registered B-227X, which successfully completed its inaugural Shanghai Pudong (PVG) – Liège (LGG) flight. This milestone marks a key step in Suparna Airlines’ fleet expansion and reinforces the growing logistics corridor connecting Shanghai and Liège.
For Suparna Airlines, the addition of a second 777F to its Liège operations underscores the carrier’s commitment to expanding its long-haul cargo capabilities and enhancing service reliability along one of its most important intercontinental trade lanes. The PVG–LGG route continues to play a crucial role in supporting cross-border e-commerce and international freight movements between China and Europe.
At the same time, the arrival of this new aircraft further solidifies Liège Airport’s position as a leading European cargo gateway for Chinese carriers. The airport’s 24/7 operations, quick turnaround capability, and specialized cargo infrastructure have made it a preferred entry point for Asian operators seeking efficient and flexible access to the European market.
“This new arrival confirms our position as a leading European cargo gateway for Chinese operators and supports the growth of international trade and cross-border e-commerce flows,” Liège Airport stated.
Liège Airport also extended its appreciation to Swissport Cargo Services Belgium for its continued support. Wilfried Jans, Managing Director, emphasized that “this new route creates additional opportunities for trade and economic exchange across continents.”
Speaking on behalf of Suparna Airlines, Torsten Wefers, Vice President Sales & Marketing, highlighted the importance of this achievement:
“This milestone reflects the trust placed in Liège Airport and strengthens our mission to provide reliable, efficient, and flexible 24/7 logistics solutions connecting Asia and Europe.”
The combined efforts of Suparna Airlines, Liège Airport, and Swissport demonstrate the strong ecosystem behind this successful expansion, further boosting connectivity between China and Belgium and supporting global supply-chain resilience.
