The Rhenus Group has reinforced its presence in Morocco with the relocation of its Tangier office to a new 158 m² site, reflecting the company’s long‑term commitment to one of the country’s most dynamic logistics regions.
The move marks an important milestone in Rhenus’ growth strategy, enabling closer proximity to customers, greater operational capacity and an upgraded working environment aligned with global brand standards.
A strategic relocation aligned with regional momentum
Situated near key industrial clusters, major manufacturers and the Tanger Med port complex, the new office places Rhenus at the heart of one of the Mediterranean’s most advanced logistics platforms.
According to the 2025 Tanger Med Port Activity Report, port performance reached record levels, including:
- 11.1 million TEUs handled (+8.4% vs. 2024)
- 535,203 trucks (+3.6%), driven by rising industrial and agri‑food exports
- 8.64 million tons of liquid bulk (+13%)
- 161 million tons of cargo throughput (+13.3% YoY)
- 1,319 mega‑ships (>290 m) received (+8.4%)
These results highlight Northern Morocco’s growing importance as a competitive logistics base for nearshoring and global supply chains, an environment where Rhenus is proactively strengthening its role.
The relocation also positions Rhenus closer to Tanger Automotive City, a global-scale industrial platform covering 800 hectares and supporting an ecosystem of more than 150 Tier 1, 2 and 3 automotive suppliers, with investments exceeding 4 billion USD and generating over 40,000 direct jobs.
Javier Berenguer, Managing Director Overland Spain & Morocco, said: “This relocation reflects our long‑term commitment to Morocco and particularly to Northern Morocco.
“It reinforces our ambition to deliver consistent, high‑quality logistics solutions across the region”.
