Qatar Airways Cargo and Unilode Partner for Major ULD Digitalisation

Doha, Qatar – Qatar Airways Cargo, a leader in global air cargo, and Unilode Aviation Solutions, a market leader in outsourced Unit Load Device (ULD) management, repair, and digital services, have announced a groundbreaking partnership to digitalise the airline’s fleet of over 42,000 ULDs.

This collaboration marks the largest ULD digitalisation initiative ever undertaken by an airline. Through Unilode’s advanced technologies, Qatar Airways Cargo will gain real-time insights into ULD locations, sensory data, and asset utilisation rates. This data-driven approach will streamline operations, optimise resource allocation, and enhance performance, positioning Qatar Airways Cargo as a leader in innovation within the air cargo industry.

Unilode’s tag and reader network will be extended to cover the airline’s global passenger and cargo operations, supported by E-ULD, an advanced mobile app and web portal that provides real-time tracking and enhanced data analytics. The solutions will help the airline reduce costs, improve asset utilisation, and contribute to sustainable and environmentally friendly operations.
