Qatar Airways has promoted Cayley Buyskes to the role of cargo country manager for the UK and Ireland, strengthening its air freight leadership in the region.
Ms Buyskes moved into the position earlier this month, having begun transitioning into the role in October while continuing her duties as regional cargo sales manager.
She joined Qatar Airways in December 2024 after spending more than nine years at IAG Cargo.
Her most recent position at the Heathrow-based company was product development manager, where she was responsible for developing cargo products and services.
Earlier in her career, Ms Buyskes worked in several management roles for IAG Cargo in South Africa.
She began her aviation career in 1996 as a call centre reservations agent at Comair, before a brief period at Lufthansa.
She later joined British Airways, where she held a number of senior commercial roles, including customer service supervisor, account manager and area commercial manager.
Qatar Airways said the appointment reflects its continued focus on expanding and strengthening its cargo operations in key global markets, including the UK and Ireland.
