Oman Air Expands Europe Network with New Amsterdam Route, Increased London Frequencies
Oman Air is set to enhance its European cargo operations with the launch of direct flights to Amsterdam, Netherlands, beginning July 1, 2025, and a significant capacity increase on its Muscat–London Heathrow route starting this winter.
The new Muscat–Amsterdam service will operate four times weekly, utilizing Oman Air’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet. Each flight will offer 14 to 18 metric tonnes of cargo capacity in each direction, opening up a new gateway for cargo flows between the Gulf and Northern Europe.
In addition, Oman Air will double its weekly frequencies to London Heathrow in October 2025, relaunching a double daily schedule on selected days. The second daily frequency will initially operate four times per week, with plans to scale to a full 14 flights weekly by summer 2026.
Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air, stated:
“The launch of our Amsterdam service, along with increased frequencies to London, means we can offer our cargo customers greater flexibility and a wider global reach, supported by our modern fleet.
We are proud to offer a high-quality, reliable service through our efficient, temperature-controlled cargo terminal in Muscat. The new routes represent an exciting opportunity to strengthen our position as a trusted cargo carrier.”
Oman Air Cargo continues to invest in its network, fleet, and ground infrastructure, including its state-of-the-art cargo terminal in Muscat, equipped to handle temperature-sensitive shipments and specialized cargo.
These strategic moves further position the airline as a competitive player in the growing Middle East–Europe air freight corridor.
