Oman Air has launched five new routes within a single week, significantly enhancing connectivity for Oman Air Cargo and strengthening its presence across key Asian and regional markets.
The rapid expansion, operated using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, includes new services from Muscat to Singapore and Tashkent, alongside additional routes to Sochi, Abu Dhabi, and a new Salalah–Dubai connection.
The move provides cargo customers with broader access to major trade lanes, improving the transportation of time-sensitive and high-value shipments while increasing overall network flexibility.
Michael Duggan, Head of Cargo at Oman Air, said: “The addition of these five destinations strengthens the options available to our cargo customers, enhancing connectivity across Asia and supporting the efficient movement of priority shipments.
“We are especially pleased that this expansion further develops our perishables capabilities, which remains a key focus as our customer base continues to grow.”
The new Muscat–Tashkent service will operate twice weekly, boosting capacity between Oman and one of Central Asia’s fastest-growing logistics markets. The route is expected to support increased trade in perishables and other time-critical goods.
Meanwhile, the Muscat–Singapore service will run four times per week, extending Oman Air Cargo’s reach into one of Asia’s leading air freight hubs and providing improved access to Southeast Asia and onward global connections.
Additional frequencies across the new routes include a weekly service to Sochi, three weekly flights between Dubai and Salalah, and daily operations to Abu Dhabi.
Duggan added: “As trade between Oman and Asia continues to expand, growing our network allows us to offer greater flexibility, improved market access, and more efficient routing options for our customers.”
