Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services Limited (Hacis), the value-added services subsidiary of Hactl, has unveiled its new Hacis Storage Control System (HSCS), marking a major step forward in automation, efficiency and scalability at its E-commerce Fulfilment Centre.
Since its launch in 2020, the Hacis E-commerce Fulfilment Centre (HEFC) has provided comprehensive, one-stop-shop handling solutions for a wide range of e-commerce shipments. The facility also includes the accredited Hacis Cool Zone, delivering tailored, integrated fulfilment services for temperature-sensitive cargo.
The introduction of HSCS significantly enhances the Centre’s automation capabilities, enabling it to manage growing shipment volumes with increased speed, precision and flexibility. The system combines advanced automated storage and retrieval technology with high-speed tote stacker cranes and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), creating an efficient “goods-to-person” workflow that streamlines order processing.
HSCS is integrated with a neutral warehouse management system, allowing real-time synchronisation with customers’ enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and e-commerce platforms. This provides end-to-end visibility and improved inventory control throughout the fulfilment cycle.
By minimising manual handling and optimising operational workflows, the system delivers substantial efficiency gains and greater inventory accuracy. It also doubles HEFC’s daily outbound processing capacity, enabling faster turnaround times and supporting increasingly demanding fulfilment schedules.
Ringo Chan, Executive Director of Hacis, said: “E-commerce supply chains are evolving rapidly, with customers demanding greater speed, visibility and reliability.
“The launch of HSCS represents a significant advancement in our capabilities, allowing us to handle higher volumes with enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to innovation and strengthens our ability to deliver seamless fulfilment within the flight ecosystem, helping customers better connect with global markets.
“Through continued deployment of advanced technologies, Hacis is further enhancing Hactl’s position as a leading end-to-end air cargo service provider at one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs.”
