Menzies Aviation has completed its $305 million acquisition of G2 Secure Staff, a major aviation services provider in the United States, in a move that cements its position as the world’s largest aviation services company.

The acquisition boosts Menzies’ annual Group revenue by 20% to more than $3.1 billion (based on FY2024 figures) and doubles its U.S. footprint to over 110 airports, including key hubs such as Atlanta (ATL), Los Angeles (LAX), and Denver (DEN).

Expanding Capabilities and Reach

G2 brings expertise in ground services, passenger assistance, and cabin cleaning, which complement Menzies’ existing portfolio of ground handling, air cargo, and fuel services. The combined capabilities provide airlines and airports with greater operational resilience, scalability, and instantly deployable solutions.

Hassan El-Houry, Executive Chairman of Menzies Aviation, said:

“Acquiring G2 is a strategic milestone in our global growth journey. With U.S. passenger volumes expected to surpass one billion by 2040, this deal positions us at the heart of America’s aviation momentum. It allows us to offer a broader range of services at more airports, while creating capacity for growth, digital transformation, and sustainability.”

Leadership and Integration

Menzies’ Executive Vice President of the Americas, John Redmond, will continue to lead the U.S. business, with G2’s senior management joining his team.

The integration process will begin immediately, with G2’s operations rebranded as Menzies Aviation. The company will roll out its global standards in training, safety, sustainability, and technology to ensure a seamless transition for customers, employees, and partners.

Philipp Joeinig, CEO of Menzies Aviation, added:

“This deal isn’t just about scale—it’s about readiness and resilience. By integrating G2’s capabilities into our network, we can raise standards for aviation services across the U.S. while creating new opportunities for job growth and upskilling. Together, we are unlocking greater value for our 20,000-strong U.S. team and our airline partners.”

A Global Powerhouse

Following the acquisition, Menzies now operates at 350 airports across 65 countries, powered by a workforce of 65,000 people. The strengthened U.S. presence enhances the company’s ability to deliver seamless, multi-airport service coverage while helping customers meet sustainability goals, including scope three emission reductions.
