Mark 3 International Partners with Dobby AI to Launch AI-Powered Logistics Platform for UK–US Freight

Mark 3 International, a leading player in express parcel and freight logistics between the UK and the US, has partnered with New York-based tech start-up Dobby AI to introduce cutting-edge artificial intelligence into its operations.

The partnership will initially focus on building an “AI operations agent” capable of organising and consolidating complex shipment data. This intelligent system aims to create a unified, reliable source of truth for each shipment, dramatically improving data accessibility, accuracy, and reconciliation.

Mark 3 will provide the foundational shipment data required to train the AI tool. Once fully deployed, the system will automatically collect and harmonize information from disparate sources — including emails, text messages, ERP and TMS platforms — eliminating inconsistencies and significantly streamlining internal workflows.

Matthew Ware, CEO of Mark 3 International, commented:

“The logistics sector has been slow to embrace emerging technologies. That’s why we’re excited to partner with such an innovative company to bring real AI capability into the freight and parcel ecosystem. This initiative will give our customers more accurate, real-time shipment information throughout the supply chain.”

The collaboration marks a key milestone in Mark 3’s broader strategy to upgrade its infrastructure and optimize operations in preparation for continued growth. The company has seen demand surge over the past year and is investing heavily in technology and facilities to stay ahead.

“This is just the beginning of our long-term tech innovation strategy,” added Ware. “We’re thrilled to be working with Dobby AI on a tool designed from scratch with modern logistics challenges in mind.”

The AI system is being rolled out in phases, with some functionality already live. Full internal adoption is expected within four to six months.

Dobby AI was founded by Taylan Kalkavan, a former senior product manager at Dropbox, and Francesco Paduano, a former staff engineer at Meta. The start-up’s mission is to solve complex logistics problems with intuitive tools powered by advanced technology.

Kalkavan explained:

“Before writing a single line of code, we spent a year interviewing stakeholders across the supply chain — from manufacturers to carriers — while experimenting with what AI can truly offer this industry. Too many logistics tools are built by people who understand only one piece of the puzzle, and not enough by strong technologists who see the whole ecosystem.”

“Partnering with Mark 3 gives us the data, expertise, and operational insight we need to build a powerful tool that genuinely improves the logistics experience.”

The Dobby AI collaboration is just one part of a larger transformation effort by Mark 3. The company recently opened a 12,000 sq ft logistics hub at JFK Airport in New York and has announced plans for a similar facility at LAX in Los Angeles within the next 18 months.

In addition, Mark 3 has reassigned two of its senior staff into new strategic roles, aimed at expanding the company’s expertise beyond the UK–US corridor to new global markets.
