Magma Aviation Highlights Expansion Strategy and Market Growth Focus at Air Cargo Europe 2025

Magma Aviation, a leading global air cargo operator, showcased its growth ambitions and strategic market priorities during Air Cargo Europe (ACE) 2025 in Liège — one of the industry’s most prominent international gatherings for logistics and air freight professionals.

As a Diamond Host Airline Sponsor, Magma Aviation joined global airlines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners at the three-day event to discuss the evolving air cargo landscape, strengthening customer partnerships, and future expansion opportunities.

Expanding Fleet and Market Presence

In an interview during the event, Peter Kerins, Chief Executive Officer of Magma Aviation, outlined the company’s vision for growth and its strategy to build a balanced, resilient, and customer-focused network.

“Our biggest goal now is to add more aircraft into our fleet, ensuring that we get the right price and right lease rates,” said Kerins.
“We have just recently increased our capacity in August, and we intend to increase it again before the end of the year.”

In August 2025, Magma Aviation added a Boeing 747 freighter to its growing fleet, a move aligned with its long-term expansion strategy. The additional capacity enables Magma to serve more customers, diversify its operations, and strengthen its position in the global air freight market.

Targeting Underserved Markets

Kerins emphasized that Magma’s commercial focus remains on developing underserved trade lanes rather than competing in already saturated markets.

“Our strategy is to create strategic partnerships and build capacity where it’s most needed — in markets that demand reliable, high-quality cargo solutions but currently have limited options,” he explained.

Regions such as Asia and Africa remain key growth areas for Magma, supported by strong trade flows and rising demand for dependable, time-sensitive cargo transport.

Commitment to Reliability and Service Quality

As customer expectations evolve, Magma continues to prioritize reliability, speed, and service quality across its operations. The company’s tailored charter and scheduled services are designed to meet the specific needs of customers in key industries, including automotive, manufacturing, and e-commerce.

The event also gave Magma the opportunity to reconnect with long-standing partners, explore new collaborations, and share insights on global market trends shaping the air cargo sector.

“Events like Air Cargo Europe allow us to engage directly with our customers and partners, strengthening our collaboration and driving innovation in how we deliver value,” added Kerins.
