Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it will increase the number of weekly code-share cargo flights operated with KALITTA Airlines between Tokyo Narita and Chicago O’Hare from three to five services per week, effective 10 December 2025.
The enhanced schedule builds on the code-share partnership launched in May 2025, which has enabled JAL to deploy large freighter capacity through KALITTA’s fleet to support fast-growing demand on Asia–North America trade lanes.
JAL said the collaboration has already played a critical role in maintaining stable and flexible cargo transport, particularly as demand between the two regions continues to surge. The additional frequencies will further expand JAL’s ability to move high-volume shipments, provide greater schedule choice for customers, and strengthen the resilience of its long-haul cargo network.
By increasing the frequency of large freighter operations from three to five weekly flights, JAL aims to reinforce its position in the transpacific cargo market and ensure capacity keeps pace with the expanding needs of forwarders and shippers across Asia and North America.
