Icelandair Cargo Expands into Turkey with ECS Group’s Globe Air Cargo Turkiye as GSSA Partner

Icelandair Cargo has officially launched operations in Turkey, marking a major milestone in its network expansion. The move is supported by Globe Air Cargo Turkiye, a subsidiary of ECS Group, combining strong local market expertise with ECS Group’s global reach and digital capabilities.

Starting September 5, 2025, Icelandair will operate four weekly flights between Istanbul (IST) and Keflavik (KEF) using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The new route will provide seamless onward connections to both Europe and the United States, targeting key export and import sectors such as textiles, automotive parts, and machinery.

Einar Már Guðmundsson, Managing Director at Icelandair Cargo, said:
