GAL Aviation Implements Airport Cargo Community System at El Dorado International Airport
GAL Aviation has implemented Kale Logistics’ Airport Cargo Community System (ACS) as the official platform for appointment scheduling and cargo delivery management at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá.
The move marks a significant step toward improving efficiency, transparency and coordination across the airport’s cargo logistics ecosystem.
Driving Digital Coordination Across Stakeholders
The ACS platform is designed to strengthen collaboration between exporters, freight forwarders, transporters and other supply chain stakeholders by centralising and standardising cargo processes.
Through structured appointment scheduling, the system aims to streamline cargo flows, reduce congestion and improve overall operational performance.
Enhancing Efficiency and Visibility
According to GAL Aviation, the implementation is expected to deliver a range of operational and economic benefits, including:
- Reduced waiting times for cargo handling
- Improved predictability in service delivery
- Optimised cargo movement between terminals and delivery zones
- Enhanced visibility and traceability of shipments
By enabling better planning and standardised information exchange, the platform supports a more coordinated and efficient cargo environment at the airport.
Supporting Bogotá’s Growing Cargo Hub
Juan Pablo Luchau, Chief Executive Officer of GAL Aviation, said the initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to modernising Colombia’s air cargo ecosystem.
He noted that pilot testing has already begun at Bogotá’s El Dorado Airport, where increasing operational complexity requires advanced digital solutions to manage cargo flows effectively.
GAL Aviation is encouraging exporters, shippers and logistics partners to register on the platform to ensure a smooth transition and alignment with operational standards.
Digitalisation Key to Managing Cargo Growth
Amar More, President and CEO of Kale Info Solutions, said modern airports require smarter digital ecosystems to manage growing cargo volumes and complex stakeholder interactions.
He added that the ACS platform enhances coordination, improves cargo visibility and supports more efficient cargo movement throughout the airport supply chain.
Advancing Airport Cargo Digitalisation
The deployment of the Cargo Community System positions El Dorado International Airport to handle increasing cargo demand more efficiently, while supporting the broader digital transformation of air cargo operations in Latin America.
