Freightos and YTO Cargo Airlines Partner to Digitize China–South Asia Air Cargo Capacity

Share

Freightos (NASDAQ: CRGO), the vendor-neutral global freight booking and payment platform, has partnered with YTO Cargo Airlines, making YTO the first Chinese all-cargo airline to offer its full capacity on WebCargo by Freightos.

The partnership gives freight forwarders instant access to YTO’s real-time rates, booking, interline connections, and integrated payments across high-demand lanes from China to South Asia. Initial coverage includes routes to India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, with expansion planned to the Persian Gulf and Europe.

This milestone comes as YTO celebrates its 10th anniversary, accelerating the airline’s digital transformation. By moving to WebCargo’s live platform, YTO can cut the traditional quote-to-confirmation cycle from up to 48 hours to just minutes, improving speed-to-market for industries such as pharma, perishables, electronics, and cross-border e-commerce.

Leadership Commentary

Joyce Tai, EVP of Worldwide Partnerships, Freightos, said:
“Forwarders need fast, reliable access to China–South Asia capacity, and they need it instantly. By bringing YTO’s dedicated freighter network onto WebCargo for booking, payment, and interline, we’re removing friction where it matters most. This partnership strengthens our Asia offering and aligns with Freightos’ strategic expansion plans.”

Hong Xiang Li, President, YTO Cargo Airlines, added:
“As we celebrate 10 years of YTO Cargo Airlines, joining WebCargo by Freightos marks a major step in our digitalization journey. This collaboration enhances our global distribution capabilities and accelerates our international market expansion, reinforcing our mission to become a world-class integrated logistics and supply chain provider.”

Digital Expansion for Global Trade

Through the partnership, YTO’s capacity will also benefit from Hangzhou’s Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Zone, positioning the airline to support rising demand in e-commerce and integrated logistics across Asia and beyond.

With over 75 airlines already live on WebCargo by Freightos, the addition of YTO strengthens the platform’s role as the largest vendor-neutral booking and payment system in air cargo.
