EVA Air, Evergreen Air Cargo Services (EGAC), and Evergreen Airline Services Corp. (EGAS) have jointly earned dual new professional certifications from the International Air Transport Association (IATA): CEIV Fresh and CEIV Live Animals. These achievements follow the group’s CEIV Lithium Batteries certification obtained in January 2025, making the EVA Air cargo system one of the few worldwide to simultaneously hold three CEIV accreditations covering airline operations, cargo warehousing, and ground handling.
With the latest additions, EVA Air now holds four IATA CEIV certifications—Pharma, Lithium Batteries, Fresh, and Live Animals—placing it among a very small number of airlines globally to reach this benchmark. The comprehensive joint audit of EVA Air, EGAC, and EGAS further enhances the airline’s cargo quality management and supports the long-term development of Taiwan’s air logistics sector.
EGAC Breaks New Ground for Taiwan
EGAC has become Taiwan’s first air freight and storage operator to secure the CEIV Fresh certification. Through upgraded temperature-control systems, rigorous real-time monitoring, and specialized staff training, EGAC is strengthening Taiwan’s position in the export of agricultural and fishery products. Its standardized processes ensure full compliance with IATA’s perishables-handling requirements from origin to destination.
Raising Standards for Live Animal Transport
EGAS and EVA Air are also extending CEIV Live Animals standards to passenger services, including the responsible transport of pets and zoo animals. As part of upcoming cooperation with international conservation partners, EVA Air will transport a Bongo antelope from Houston Zoo to Taipei Zoo in celebration of the cities’ 64-year sister-city relationship.
Commitment to High-Quality Global Cargo Services
EVA Air says it will continue to collaborate closely with EGAC and EGAS to provide safe, reliable, and premium cargo services worldwide. With expanded CEIV certifications and unified operational standards across the group, EVA Air is reinforcing both its competitive edge and Taiwan’s visibility in the global air cargo industry.
