Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, has announced a significant expansion of its freighter network for the Winter 2025 season, introducing new routes and additional flight frequencies to key global markets.
The expanded schedule strengthens vital trade corridors across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, while reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global logistics hub connecting East and West.
New Route: Abu Dhabi – East Midlands
Beginning October 27, Etihad Cargo will launch two new weekly freighter services to East Midlands Airport, the UK’s leading express freight and logistics hub. The route will link Abu Dhabi directly to the UK’s main distribution network, supporting both domestic and European deliveries.
Expanded Capacity Across Asia and Europe
To meet growing demand in major production and export markets, Etihad Cargo will add additional frequencies on several Asian routes:
- Shanghai (+1)
- Hong Kong (+1)
- Shenzhen (+6)
- Ezhou (+1)
The carrier will also increase its weekly freighter flights to Riyadh (+2), Paris Charles de Gaulle (+1), and Frankfurt (+1), enhancing connectivity and flexibility for customers across its network.
Supporting Global Trade and Regional Growth
The expansion coincides with Etihad Cargo’s participation at Air Cargo Southeast Asia (ACSA) 2025, the region’s premier industry gathering. The event underscores Etihad Cargo’s growing presence in Asia and its commitment to connecting exporters and businesses to global markets.
These developments also complement Etihad Airways’ wider network expansion, which includes 16 new passenger destinations launching between November 2025 and March 2026 — further strengthening the carrier’s combined passenger and cargo offering.
A Strategic Step Forward
Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer at Etihad Airways, said:
“Every shipment represents a connection that matters.
As we enter the busy winter period, increasing our network capacity and introducing new trade routes means giving our customers more ways to move their goods with reliability and care.
Through this strategic expansion, we hope to continue empowering businesses and communities to thrive.”
With its expanded winter schedule, Etihad Cargo continues to build on its strong operational performance and commitment to providing reliable, customer-focused, and sustainable air cargo solutions worldwide.
