Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has secured a new three-year contract with Emirates SkyCargo to manage cargo handling at Miami International Airport (MIA), marking a significant expansion of their partnership in North America.

The agreement, effective from July 14, covers cargo handling, ramp services, and mail operations for Emirates’ freighter flights at MIA. The airline operates Boeing 777 and 747 freighters on its Miami route from its facility at Building 702.

The deal adds to WFS’s existing portfolio of Emirates SkyCargo operations at key U.S. airports including Los Angeles, Seattle, New York JFK, Houston, Washington Dulles, and Dallas/Fort Worth.

“WFS is honored to expand our partnership with Emirates SkyCargo to include Miami, a strategic gateway connecting North America with Latin America and the Caribbean,” said José Canales, senior vice president, commercial & business development, Americas at SATS-owned WFS. “This selection reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional service quality and operational reliability that supports Emirates SkyCargo’s global cargo network.”

The announcement follows WFS’s recent five-year contract win to manage Emirates SkyCargo’s freight operations at Frankfurt Airport in Germany, further solidifying the two companies’ global partnership.
