ECU Worldwide, a global leader in LCL consolidation and a 100% subsidiary of Allcargo Logistics Limited, has announced a major digital transformation initiative with the rollout of iTopaz, its new cloud-enabled and AI-powered platform.
The platform is being developed in collaboration with IBM Consulting, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver a seamless, resilient, and scalable digital ecosystem for ECU Worldwide’s users across 180+ countries.
Replacing Legacy Systems with Future-Ready Infrastructure
iTopaz replaces ECU Worldwide’s decade-old Topaz ERP system, marking the company’s second major digital transformation phase. Unlike its predecessor, iTopaz is:
- Web-based and cloud-enabled, ensuring high security and flexibility.
- Built on a three-tier architecture with a containerized environment, offering platform independence.
- Powered by open-source databases, reducing dependency on proprietary systems.
- Designed to incorporate AI and machine learning use cases for adaptive, intelligent operations.
The global roll-out will be executed in phases through 2027, with initial progress already made by migrating three on-premises data centers in the US, Europe, and Asia to the cloud.
Strategic Partnerships Driving Transformation
- IBM Consulting is providing cloud migration tools.
- TCS is supporting ERP modernization.
- AWS is enabling the shift to open-source cloud infrastructure.
These collaborations ensure smooth migration, development, testing, and deployment of the new platform.
