DSV Air & Sea to Open New 25,600 m² Logistics Facility in Hapert, Consolidating Eindhoven Operations

Early December, DSV’s Air & Sea division will relocate to a new state-of-the-art logistics centre at Kempisch Bedrijvenpark in Hapert — a strategically positioned hotspot in the Brainport region with direct access to the A67 motorway. The move will consolidate the company’s two existing Eindhoven sites, totalling 15,000 m², into one modern 25,600 m² facility.

The new logistics centre will support specialised operations for customers in the technology and automotive sectors, with a strong emphasis on air freight handling. Serving as a consolidation hub for air cargo moving via nearby regional airports, the site is designed to enhance speed, efficiency, and service quality for high-tech and industrial clients.

Juliën de Jong, Managing Director at DSV in the Netherlands, said:
“This new location enables us to serve our high-tech and automotive clients even better. The combination of strategic location and modern facilities aligns with our long-term vision: to grow alongside our customers in a future-proof and efficient logistics environment.”

The Hapert branch will serve the fast-growing Euregion — spanning western Germany, northern Belgium, and the southern Netherlands — reinforcing DSV’s capacity to meet rising regional demand.

Built to the latest sustainability and security standards, the facility meets TAPA-A requirements and includes two advanced roller conveyor systems for efficient handling of air freight pallets and containers. Solar panels have already been installed, with further expansion planned, and the site will deploy two fully electric trucks for distribution operations. Approximately 130 employees will be based at the new centre.

Gijs Peeters, Air Freight Director at DSV, commented:
“Our facilities are designed with the customer in mind. The advanced roller conveyors ensure fast and secure air freight handling, while the location and our focus on sustainability contribute to a future-proof supply chain.”

The building was developed by VDG Real Estate.
Madeleine van den Eijnde-Van Dijk, Director at VDG, added:
“We are very proud to have supported DSV in expanding their air freight facility. The building is not only functional and built to the latest standards, but also designed to grow in line with DSV’s ambitions.”
