Global logistics provider Dachser has named Alexander Winter as its new Managing Director for Air & Sea Logistics in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Winter, a seasoned industry leader, will take over from Marc Meier, who is stepping down at the end of the month.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience, Winter joins Dachser after a long career at DB Schenker, where he has held a variety of senior positions since 1999. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive for Austria and Southeast Europe, overseeing air and sea freight, road transport, and contract logistics across the region.
In his new role at Dachser, Winter will report directly to Tobias Burger, Chief Operating Officer for Air & Sea Logistics.
The move comes at a pivotal time in the logistics industry, as DB Schenker undergoes significant leadership changes following its acquisition by rival DSV earlier this year.
