CARGO.ONE LAUNCHES BOOKING FROM DESCARTES PLATFORM

Share

Digital air cargo platform cargo.one has launched a powerful new integration with Descartes’ Transportation Management System (TMS), enabling freight forwarders worldwide to quote and book air freight capacity more efficiently than ever before.

The newly released cargo.one Air Freight Integration Module allows Descartes TMS users to search, compare, quote, and book air freight options directly within the system—eliminating the need to switch platforms or manually enter booking data. Booking information is automatically synced into the freight forwarder’s Descartes workflow, streamlining shipment management and reducing the risk of errors.

As a leading procurement platform for air cargo, cargo.one is available in 134 countries and connects over 25,000 freight forwarders with more than 65 airlines and key general sales and service agents (GSSAs). The integration gives Descartes TMS users direct access to this extensive network—offering greater choice, rate transparency, and ease of use.

“Integrating cargo.one’s global carrier connectivity within our TMS helps customers gain ground in delivery performance, differentiate themselves from competitors, and grow their revenue,” said Kenneth Wood, Executive Vice President of Product Management at Descartes. “Descartes TMS and cargo.one functionality working in unison is enhancing user experiences and helping forwarders to do their best work.”

The partnership delivers a suite of benefits to freight forwarders, including:

  • Real-time access to competitive rates and schedules
  • Simplified quoting and booking processes
  • Reduced manual data entry
  • Improved accuracy and data flow
  • Enhanced ability to win business and serve customers faster

“Building advanced solutions with TMS leaders like Descartes is an important way for cargo.one to further contribute to a more connected supply chain,” said Moritz Claussen, Founder & Co-CEO of cargo.one. “Forwarders will enjoy powerful operational and business benefits, combined with simplicity and convenience.”

The integration is available now for Descartes TMS users, who can also upgrade to cargo.one pro for access to enhanced shipment management tools and advanced quoting features.
