Baltic Ground Services (BGS), a leading ground handling service provider and a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group, has extended its 14-year collaboration with Europe’s fastest-growing airline, Wizz Air. The renewed agreement, valid for another year, includes aviation fuel supply for Wizz Air’s aircraft at Vilnius, Kaunas, Riga, and Tallinn airports.
Vitalis Dudys, Head of Commerce at BGS Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the renewal. “We could not be happier about this opportunity to further strengthen our partnership with Wizz Air, which has been going strong since 2011. I want to thank everyone at BGS who made this possible and I am excited to see where our partnership will go in the coming years.”
Matteo Fregni, Head of Purchasing at Wizz Air, emphasized the value of BGS’s service quality and reliability. “The cornerstone of our cooperation with BGS has always been the exceptional quality of their services and unwavering commitment to safety. These are both critical for success in the aviation industry. Given this history, we are confident that BGS will continue to deliver.”
The partnership agreements for into-plane fuelling will be signed with all active divisions of Wizz Air, including Wizz Air Hungary, Wizz Air UK, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and Wizz Air Malta.
As part of its European expansion strategy, Wizz Air is introducing new travel destinations. Starting on June 30, 2025, the airline will launch direct flights from Vilnius to Budapest three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
