AviusULD has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing the company among the top 5% of organizations assessed globally for sustainability performance. The recognition underscores AviusULD’s strong commitment to responsible manufacturing, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices within the global air cargo industry.
EcoVadis, a globally recognized sustainability ratings provider, evaluates companies across four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The Gold Medal reflects AviusULD’s robust performance across all categories and confirms the maturity of its sustainability management system. The award is valid through December 2026.
Charles Drummond, CEO of AviusULD, commented:
“Sustainability is a core part of our mission. Achieving the EcoVadis Gold Medal is a meaningful validation of the work our teams are doing every day to reduce our environmental impact while delivering the highest quality ULDs to the global air cargo industry. From responsible sourcing and energy efficiency to full life cycle analysis and circular design, we are committed to building lighter, stronger, and greener solutions for our customers.”
In 2024, AviusULD partnered with EcoVadis to measure and strengthen its ESG performance across all key areas. The company also completed a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to better understand and reduce its carbon footprint across raw material sourcing, manufacturing, product use, and end-of-life recycling. The findings are detailed in the company’s Sustainability Report 2024–2025.
AviusULD has already implemented major efficiency upgrades at its manufacturing facilities, resulting in reduced energy consumption and emissions. Additional initiatives are underway to further cut waste, enhance recycling, and lower overall environmental impact. Sustainability is being embedded into every process, product, and decision across the organization.
The EcoVadis Gold recognition follows a similar achievement by sister company Driessen Catering Equipment, reinforcing the sustainability leadership of the wider CCE Group aerospace platform.
With this distinction, AviusULD strengthens its commitment to supporting airlines, ULD management companies, and cargo operators in achieving their own sustainability goals through lightweight, durable, and low-emission cargo equipment solutions.
