Air India Extends Ties with SATS and WFS

Air India has strengthened its collaboration with SATS Ltd. and its subsidiary Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) by awarding contracts for cargo and ground handling services at airports across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Following a global tendering process, the airline renewed 11 existing contracts and added 14 new ones, covering major locations such as Chicago, Washington Dulles, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Frankfurt, Milan, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong.

This expanded partnership comes after Air India’s comprehensive review of the cargo and ground handling market. SATS and WFS will provide enhanced services at these strategic locations, supporting Air India’s goal of streamlining operations and elevating service quality.

Ramesh Mamidala, Head of Cargo at Air India, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “Streamlining logistics and improving service levels for passengers and cargo are vital to Air India’s ongoing transformation.”

This collaboration is a part of Air India’s broader efforts to enhance operational efficiency and provide superior services to its customers, with close coordination between the airline, SATS, and WFS ensuring seamless operations at the designated stations.
