Air Charter Service Sees Strong Growth in Time Critical Division
Air Charter Service (ACS) has reported significant growth across its Time Critical division, with its Next Flight Out (NFO) service recording a 175% increase in shipments year-on-year.
The company said all three of its Time Critical services experienced strong demand, reflecting growing market reliance on urgent logistics solutions.
Surge in NFO Demand
The most notable growth came from ACS’s IATA-accredited NFO offering, which nearly tripled in activity compared to the previous year.
Robert Alleman, CEO of ACS Time Critical, said the increase highlights the rising importance of flexible, rapid-response logistics in a volatile global environment.
He noted that NFO solutions provide a more versatile and cost-effective alternative to onboard courier (OBC) services, as they allow for larger, unaccompanied shipments.
Driven by Market Disruption and Complexity
ACS attributed the surge in demand to ongoing geopolitical tensions, tariffs, supply chain disruptions and rapidly changing market conditions.
These factors have made time-critical logistics services increasingly essential for a wide range of industries requiring urgent and reliable transport solutions.
The company added that its IATA Cargo Accreditation enables direct access to airline capacity, allowing faster booking and improved operational efficiency.
Growth Across All Time Critical Services
In addition to NFO growth:
- The Onboard Courier (OBC) division saw an 85% increase in jobs, marking its busiest year since launch a decade ago
- ACS’s US-based ground transportation division recorded a 53% rise in bookings, supporting increased demand for integrated logistics solutions
Alleman highlighted the contribution of team expansion and leadership expertise, including the addition of Ash McCook, whose background in urgent logistics has helped strengthen the NFO offering.
Leadership Restructure Supports Expansion
Dan Morgan-Evans, Group Cargo Director at ACS, said a recent restructuring of the Time Critical Services (TCS) leadership team has contributed to the division’s strong performance.
He noted that the appointment of Robert Alleman as head of the division, alongside Andreas Spies as Chief Operating Officer, has helped drive operational improvements and growth.
Positive Outlook for Time Critical Logistics
ACS said the strong performance and ongoing team expansion position its Time Critical division for continued growth.
As global supply chains remain under pressure, demand for fast, flexible and reliable logistics solutions is expected to remain high, supporting further expansion in the time-critical segment.
