Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) continues to reap the rewards of its digital transformation, setting a new record in November with 85% of bookings made online through its myCargo digital platform. This marks a significant leap in customer adoption, up from 73% in May 2023.

Digital Investments Driving Success

Launched eight years ago, the myCargo platform has been pivotal in AFKLMP’s push for digital innovation. Recent enhancements include dynamic pricing for real-time rate optimization and the ongoing implementation of the Salesforce CRM system across 65 offices worldwide.

Senior Vice President of Commercial, GertJan Roelands, expressed optimism for the future:
“We have high hopes for 2025, when we will continue to take bold steps in our commercial transformation by offering unique, next-level service propositions to meet the increasing demands and needs of our customers.”

Pioneering Digital Air Cargo Solutions

AFKLMP has a history of leading the air cargo sector’s digital evolution:

  • Introduced quote and book functionality in 2017.
  • First to offer capacity on third-party booking portals in 2019.
  • Developed features like track & trace, station capabilities data, claims management, SAF booking options, and tailored solutions for specialized cargo like pharmaceuticals and express shipments.

In 2023, AFKLMP upgraded myCargo with two key features:

  1. The ability for users to modify bookings.
  2. The option to book allocations directly through the platform.

Customer Confidence Rising

The surge in online bookings reflects growing trust in AFKLMP’s digital services. The enhancements align with the airline group’s strategy to provide seamless, customer-centric solutions, ensuring a competitive edge in a fast-evolving market.

With these advancements, AFKLMP Cargo continues to solidify its position as a leader in air cargo digitalization, setting the stage for further innovation and customer satisfaction in the years ahead.
