BCUBE Group, an international integrated logistics services operator, announces the signing of the purchase agreement for Alha Group, a company specialising in airport cargo handling services and integrated air freight solutions.
The transaction aims to strengthen BCUBE’s scale and industrial strength, creating an internationally competitive platform with greater investment capacity and the expansion of high-value logistics services.
The transaction will create a leading cargo handling operator, capable of competing with major European players and strengthening the positioning of Italian airports in the international logistics system.
In this context, the development projects at Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Venice Tessera represent key levers, as they will attract new carriers, increase cargo traffic, and consolidate the competitive role of Italian airports in the European context.
The merger of the two entities will also accelerate investment, increase industrial resilience, and, consequently, develop strategic infrastructure for the national logistics system.
The investments, focused on infrastructure and technology, will include the development of new warehouses and specialised centres at the main airport hubs, as well as advanced digitalisation, automation, energy efficiency, and sustainability systems.
The new operator will develop a full-service offering covering the entire logistics value chain, both airport-based and off-airport.
This will lead to the creation of an integrated, efficient, and scalable logistics ecosystem, enhancing the competitiveness of the Italian airport system for freight forwarders and global operators.
