FIATA Elects New Global Leadership Team, Appoints First Female President in Historic Milestone

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) has announced the election of a new global leadership team to its Presidency, Extended Board, and Chairs of Institutes, Regions, and Advisory Bodies, marking a historic moment for the organization with the election of the first woman to the FIATA Presidency.

The elections took place during the 2025 FIATA Electoral General Meeting, held on 10 October 2025, bringing together a diverse and experienced group of logistics and freight forwarding leaders from across the world. The new leadership team is united in its mission to drive innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across the international freight forwarding and logistics industry.


FIATA Presidency (2025–2027)

  • Immediate Past President: Turgut Erkeskin, Association of International Forwarding and Logistics Service Providers (UTIKAD), Türkiye
  • Senior Vice Presidents:

FIATA President Thomas Sim expressed confidence in the team’s collective vision:
