Brussels Airport sees double-digit cargo growth in July

Share

Cargo traffic through Brussels Airport rose sharply in July, with total volumes up 13% year-on-year to 68,808 tonnes.

Flown cargo grew 17% to 59,541 tonnes, driven by strong gains in integrator services, which surged 42% compared with July 2024.

The full-freighter segment posted a 5.5% increase, though bellyhold cargo on passenger flights slipped by 4%. Trucked cargo volumes fell 7%.

Asia, Africa, and North America remained the airport’s leading import regions, with the same trio topping export destinations — led by Asia, followed by Africa and North America.

In July, the number of flight movements rose by 3% compared to the same period last year.

The number of passenger flights increased by 2%, while cargo flights grew by 6% due to growth in the full-freighter segment and integrator services.
