Atlas Air Inc. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SATS Limited and Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to expand their global collaboration and leverage each other’s extensive networks.

The agreement builds upon the existing strong relationship between Atlas Air and WFS, particularly in North America, where WFS provides cargo handling services at eight major airports: Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Miami, New York JFK, and Seattle. Under the MoU, cooperation will also expand to Singapore, SATS’ headquarters, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The partnership will focus on enhancing warehouse services, freighter ramp handling, and crew transport solutions. This marks the first time Atlas Air, the operator of the world’s largest fleet of Boeing 747 freighters, has entered into such an agreement with SATS, a leading global air cargo handling provider.

Key Objectives of the MoU
✔ Integrated Ground & Cargo Handling: Streamlining operations to support the growing e-commerce market and high-value cargo such as perishables and pharmaceuticals.
✔ Digital & Automation Solutions: Enhancing supply chain visibility and improving cargo traceability across their combined networks.
✔ Sustainability & Low-Carbon Initiatives: Developing green solutions to minimize the environmental impact of air cargo operations.
✔ Stronger Trade Lane Cooperation: Expanding collaboration on major international airfreight routes to improve efficiency and reliability.
