GOL Linhas Aéreas Partners with Jettainer for ULD Management as Airline Expands Intercontinental Operations

Share

Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aéreas has appointed Jettainer as its unit load device (ULD) management partner, strengthening its cargo operations as the carrier expands internationally.

Under the agreement, Jettainer will oversee ULD supply, maintenance, and digital tracking through its JettwareNG platform, providing GOL with enhanced visibility, efficiency, and operational reliability across its cargo network.

Jettainer already manages ULD operations for other airlines within the Abra Group, and with GOL now onboard, the company becomes the ULD provider across the entire group. This consolidation is expected to unlock operational synergies and drive cost efficiencies throughout the combined network.

The partnership comes at a pivotal time for GOL as it accelerates its widebody and long-haul expansion strategy. Patricia Bello, General Director of GOLLOG, said the agreement will support the safe and efficient handling of cargo as the airline introduces new intercontinental routes, highlighting Jettainer’s expertise and forward-looking approach as key enablers of growth.

Meanwhile, Shailendra Kothari, Managing Director of Jettainer Americas Inc., described the deal as a major milestone for the company’s expansion in South America. He noted that GOL transports more than 30 million passengers annually and operates around 700 daily flights, underlining its importance in the region. Kothari added that the agreement will further strengthen Jettainer’s ability to deliver value across the broader Abra Group portfolio.

GOL remains one of Brazil’s leading carriers and a core member of the Abra Group, while Jettainer—part of the Lufthansa Group—continues to expand its global footprint as a specialist in airline ULD management.
