Newly launched carrier 7Air Cargo is continuing its rapid network expansion with the introduction of new freighter services to Costa Rica and Antigua, strengthening its footprint across the Americas.
The airline, which received FAA certification in February 2025, began operating weekly Boeing 737-800 freighter flights between Miami International Airport (MIA) and VC Bird International Airport (ANU) in St John’s, Antigua, on 10 September. The route is being operated in partnership with Globe Logisticz.
Local media in Antigua hailed the service as a boost for the island, adding much-needed extra cargo capacity and competition to existing operators.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the launch, 7Air Cargo stated:
“This marks the beginning of delivering services to a region that has long awaited a reliable and committed alternative.”
Expanded Services to Costa Rica
Alongside its Caribbean expansion, the carrier has also launched twice-weekly services to San José, Costa Rica, using its 737-800 freighter fleet. The new routes provide additional lift for regional trade, particularly in perishables, consumer goods, and e-commerce cargo.
With these latest additions, 7Air Cargo continues to build on its Americas strategy, positioning itself as a reliable, flexible partner for regional shippers and forwarders.
