World Star Aviation has announced the successful delivery of the first of two Boeing 737-400 Special Freighter (B737-400SF) aircraft to Skyway Airlines, marking a major milestone as the carrier’s first registered cargo aircraft in the Philippines.

The delivery not only represents a key step in World Star Aviation’s partnership with Skyway Airlines but also underscores the company’s expanding footprint across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region — one of the fastest-growing air cargo markets in the world.

André Abreu, Vice President, Marketing & Sales at World Star Aviation, said:

“This is a proud moment for World Star Aviation as we celebrate our first Philippine-registered aircraft.
Strengthening our presence in fast-growing markets such as APAC is a strategic priority, and partnerships like this with Skyway Airlines reflect our commitment to supporting regional carriers with cost-effective assets that can drive their growth and operational excellence.”

Capt. Vedant Bhardwaj, Director, Skyway Airlines, added:

“We extend our sincere appreciation to World Star Aviation for their professionalism and efficiency in the successful delivery of the B737-400F — the second aircraft in Skyway Airlines’ fleet and the first of two aircraft to be delivered under this partnership.
This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening Skyway Airlines’ capacity and commitment to advancing the cargo industry across South Asia.”

The B737-400SF freighter, known for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and medium-haul capability, is ideally suited to support Skyway Airlines’ regional cargo operations. The addition enhances the carrier’s ability to serve growing intra-Asia e-commerce and express logistics demand.

The second aircraft under the agreement is scheduled for delivery in the coming months.
