Share

WebCargo by Freightos, an independent booking and payment platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Thai Airways, Thailand’s national carrier and a prominent player in the Asian aviation market. This collaboration will integrate Thai Airways’ cargo capacities into WebCargo’s platform, offering forwarders real-time booking, pricing, and payment capabilities.

In the coming months, Thai Airways will implement this integration, enabling forwarders to book and pay for air cargo services directly through WebCargo Pay, an integrated payment solution designed to streamline payments and reconciliations. This partnership aims to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of cargo booking and payment processes for forwarders.

Initially, this collaboration will utilize Thai Airways’ extensive network to provide services to freight forwarders in Australia, Japan, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. These forwarders will be able to seamlessly book and pay for cargo services on Thai Airways through WebCargo’s platform.

Manuel Galindo, Chief Revenue Officer of Freightos, highlighted the significance of this partnership: “By helping forwarders of different sizes easily book and pay for Thai Airways capacity on WebCargo’s platform, we are not only expanding digital access to one of Asia’s largest air cargo networks but also continuing our mission to help evolve how cargo bookings and payments are handled. With WebCargo eBooking and Pay, Thai Airways will be able to expand their audience and provide their customers with smooth access to flexible credit and payment options, and to complete their bookings in seconds.”

This collaboration underscores the ongoing digital transformation in the air cargo industry, providing enhanced accessibility, efficiency, and flexibility for forwarders and airlines alike.
