Fast-growing e-commerce delivery company SpeedX has officially launched a major new logistics superhub near Chicago O’Hare International Airport, marking a significant expansion of its last-mile delivery and freight handling footprint across the United States.
The 200,000-square-foot facility, which follows SpeedX’s acquisition of freight forwarder Accelerated Global Solutions (AGS) last year, is designed to process up to one million parcels per day, dramatically boosting the company’s operational capacity and network resilience.
“Chicago plays a critical role as both an international air gateway and a key centre for U.S. e-commerce and freight,” said Chris Zheng, Founder and Chief Executive of SpeedX. “This investment gives us greater operational control while boosting the speed and reliability of our network.
“The hub is also core to our long-term plan to link SpeedX facilities nationwide through a transcontinental linehaul system, creating a stronger and more scalable delivery platform.”
Automation at the Core of Operations
The new Chicago hub is equipped with advanced automated sorting technology, including a high-speed chute system capable of processing up to 30,000 parcels per hour. Expanded dock door infrastructure and increased operational floor space enable the facility to efficiently manage both heavy parcel volumes and time-critical freight movements.
The development enhances SpeedX’s ability to provide faster turnarounds, improved handling efficiency, and greater network stability during peak e-commerce seasons.
A Rapidly Scaling U.S. Delivery Network
Founded in 2022, SpeedX has quickly established itself as a technology-driven e-commerce delivery provider focused on tighter brand-to-consumer connectivity.
With the launch of the Chicago superhub, the company now:
Covers more than 12,000 U.S. ZIP codes
Has delivered over 100 million parcels
Reaches approximately 175 million consumers nationwide
The Chicago investment represents another key milestone in SpeedX’s accelerated expansion strategy, positioning the company to support rising cross-border e-commerce flows and growing domestic parcel demand with greater speed, control and scalability.
