SmartKargo, a global provider of digital air cargo systems, has announced a strategic collaboration with Bringer Air Cargo aimed at modernising the carrier’s cargo operations.

Under the agreement, Bringer will deploy SmartKargo’s cloud-based cargo management platform across its business, covering booking, capacity management, operations, analytics and customer engagement.

Modernising cargo operations

The move comes as the air freight sector adapts to rapid growth in e-commerce, increasing volumes of time-sensitive shipments and rising customer expectations for visibility and speed.

SmartKargo said its platform is designed to replace legacy cargo systems with a more integrated and automated model, unifying commercial and operational processes within a single digital environment.

Olivier Houri, chief revenue officer at SmartKargo, said the industry was undergoing “a fundamental transformation”.

“Air cargo is undergoing a fundamental transformation, with airlines seeking smarter, more flexible platforms that can evolve with their business,” he said.

“Our collaboration with Bringer Air Cargo reflects a shared commitment to innovation and to building a technology foundation that supports operational excellence, scalability and long-term growth.”

Supporting growth and efficiency

For Bringer Air Cargo, the technology upgrade forms part of a broader strategy to scale its operations while maintaining service standards.

By improving real-time data visibility and modernising core cargo processes, the airline aims to better align capacity with demand, streamline internal workflows and respond more quickly to changes in the market.

Airlines worldwide are investing in digital cargo platforms as competitive pressures increase and supply chains become more complex. Industry analysts say integrated systems that combine booking, revenue management and operational oversight are increasingly seen as critical to improving margins and service reliability.

The partnership signals a continued push towards digitisation in the global air freight market, as carriers seek to balance growth with operational efficiency.
