SF Airlines Launches New Freighter Service to Oslo Airport

SF Airlines has introduced a new freighter service connecting Ezhou Huahu International Airport in China with Oslo Airport, targeting the growing demand for e-commerce and seafood transportation.

The service, which began on January 14, is operated using a Boeing 767 freighter and includes a stop at Astana International Airport.

Cargo onboard will include express packages, e-commerce goods, and Norwegian salmon, a key export for the Chinese market. With China as Norway’s largest seafood market in Asia and the fastest-growing globally, Oslo airport operator Avinor highlighted the importance of the route.

“This is the first time SF Airlines is flying to Norway, and it is also Ezhou’s first freight route to Norway,” said Eva Beate Lande, director of Cargo at Avinor. She added:
“This is a new milestone for Norwegian seafood exports and a testament to the strong cooperation between Norway and China. The new route will not only provide faster and more efficient access to the Chinese market but also strengthen Norway’s position as a leading seafood exporter.”

SF Airlines has been rapidly expanding its operations since its launch in 2009. The airline’s fleet has grown to 87 aircraft, with an average of six freighters added annually. Most recently, it added its first Boeing 737-800 freighter, a next-generation narrowbody aircraft delivered earlier this month.
