QCargo launches AI-powered compliance platform for freight forwarders

Share

QCargo, the first AI-driven verification and compliance platform built specifically for the air cargo and freight forwarding industry, announced its commercial launch.

The platform addresses a critical industry gap: verifying company credentials and partner compliance in an industry where trust and regulatory adherence are paramount.

Turgut Erkeskin, President & CEO of Genel Transport, said: “In today’s complex and interconnected supply chains, quality is no longer a differentiator—it is a necessity.

“At Genel Transport, we have always believed that verified processes, transparency, and accountability are essential for sustainable logistics. QCargo’s qualification framework provides exactly the kind of independent and credible benchmark the industry needs, and we are proud to be among the first companies to meet this standard.”

Traditional verification processes, validating certifications, financial standing, and compliance status, typically take 2-4 weeks of manual checks.

QCargo reduces this to 24 hours using AI to cross-reference company data against industry databases, certification registries, and global sanctions lists.

Qcargo’s platform empowers forwarders with three core capabilities:

  • Independent Company Verification: QCargo verifies freight forwarders against all major industry standards and certifications—while conducting financial health assessments, Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) checks, and sanctions screening. Verified companies receive a QCargo badge for use in marketing materials, RFPs, and airline tenders.
  • AI-Powered Partner Verification: Freight forwarders can verify any partner in their network instantly. The platform checks certifications, financial standing, and sanctions status in real-time, enabling forwarders to conduct due diligence before signing agreements instead of hoping partners are compliant.
  • Export Control Module: The platform’s AI export control tool screens shipping documents against OFAC, EU, and UN sanctions lists, validates HS codes, and checks denied parties databases. Results are delivered in seconds with specific reasons flagged for any compliance issues, preventing violations before shipments move.

Danny Arendse, QCargo CEO said: “QCargo Solutions does not create new rules or frameworks; we verify compliance with existing industry requirements and provide the independent validation the logistics sector has been missing, at the speed modern business requires.”

QCargo is administered by experienced freight logistics and compliance consultants based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The platform integrates with OpenAI for document analysis while connecting to leading financial intelligence databases and official regulatory sources.

It offers three verification levels—Silver, Gold, and Platinum—with pay-per-use access available for compliance tools.
