Menzies Aviation has secured a renewed contract with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for cargo warehouse and ramp handling services at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). This five-year agreement covers all KLM/Martinair freighter operations at AMS, including approximately 600 aircraft turns and nearly 100,000 tonnes of cargo annually.
The renewal, which represents Menzies’ largest contract at AMS, was formalized on July 18 at an official signing ceremony held at Menzies’ cargo facility at the airport. The event saw participation from Menzies’ executives Miguel Gomez, executive vice president Europe, and Dave Beekman, senior vice president Benelux, alongside KLM Cargo’s Koen Bolster, vice president worldwide operations, and Paul van der Wardt, general manager Martinair Cargo.
Miguel Gomez expressed pride in the continued partnership, highlighting the mutual trust and success built over the years. “We are excited to continue building on this strong foundation and delivering world-class cargo and ground handling services for the Dutch flag carrier at one of the busiest airports in Europe,” he said.
Paul van der Wardt added, “We are glad to continue our great partnership after all these years of close cooperation. We look forward to further developing the ramp handling activities together with Menzies.”
Koen Bolster also emphasized the importance of the collaboration: “This longstanding partnership has been instrumental in our success, and we are confident that together we will continue to provide exceptional cargo and ground handling services to our customers.”
Menzies Aviation collaborates with KLM at more than ten locations worldwide, spanning Europe, Africa, India, and Latin America.
