Menzies Aviation Expands Nordic Footprint with Acquisition of Spirit Cargo Handling

Menzies Aviation has announced the acquisition of Spirit Cargo Handling, previously owned by SAS Ground Handling Norway, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to grow its global air cargo operations.

This acquisition establishes Menzies’ first cargo facility in Norway, based at Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL), and adds 150,000 tonnes of annual cargo capacity to its global portfolio.

  • OSL Warehouse Takeover: Menzies assumes control of existing warehouse, freighter operations, and workforce

  • Rebranding: Spirit Cargo Handling operations to be rebranded under the Menzies Aviation banner post-completion
