Lufthansa Cargo has announced leadership changes, with two executives stepping into new roles in 2025.

Dr. Andre Schulz, previously Head of Region Middle East, Africa & South Asia & CIS, assumed the role of Head of Region Europe on January 1, 2025. He now oversees all Lufthansa Cargo operations in Europe, succeeding Oliver von Götz, who transitioned to “Head of Global Fulfillment Management” in late 2024.

Dr. Schulz, a business Ph.D. holder, has been with Lufthansa Group since 2008. With 17 years of corporate and sales experience across multiple international locations, he joined Lufthansa Cargo in 2022.

Taking over Dr. Schulz’s previous position, Stephanie Pöhn-Helbig will become Head of Region Middle East, Africa & South Asia & CIS on March 1, 2025. Currently serving as “Head of Crew Control” at Lufthansa Cargo, Pöhn-Helbig will manage the region’s operations from Frankfurt.

Her appointment further underscores Lufthansa Cargo’s commitment to diversity, with over 30% of its management roles now held by women. An MBA graduate and former officer in the German Air Force, Pöhn-Helbig brings extensive aviation experience from national and international positions. She joined Lufthansa Group in 2021 and Lufthansa Cargo in 2023.

Anand Kulkarni, Head of Global Markets at Lufthansa Cargo, commented on the appointments:
“I am excited to further strengthen our global sales organization with Stephanie Pöhn-Helbig and Dr. Andre Schulz. Their geographic expertise and leadership experience will bring fresh perspectives, enabling us to better serve our customers in dynamic markets and continue driving global business.”
