Hermes supports Velora’s cargo and logistics rapid SaaS transition

Share

Hermes Logistics Technologies (HLT) and Velora have successfully completed the migration of Velora’s cargo and logistics management system from an on-premise Hermes deployment to the cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) version of the HLT ecosystem.

The transition was completed with just four hours of operational downtime, marking a significant milestone for both organisations and demonstrating the robustness of the migration process.

By moving to the Hermes SaaS platform, Velora now benefits from continuous access to the latest HLT software updates and enhancements. The migration also forms part of a broader innovation programme under the renewed five-year agreement between the two companies.

Adopting the HLT SaaS platform provides Velora with a more agile, scalable and resilient operating environment. The Hermes Cloud is designed to deliver high system availability, enhanced data security and a streamlined upgrade process, enabling ground handling teams to focus on core operational activities rather than technical maintenance.

The cloud-native architecture also supports the evolving requirements of air cargo organisations, allowing for faster deployment of new modules, analytics capabilities and system integrations, while maintaining high standards of data protection and regulatory compliance.

Yuval Baruch, CEO of Hermes Logistics Technologies, said: “We are proud to support Velora in this major step forward. Completing such a complex migration with only four hours of downtime is a testament to the close collaboration between our teams and the strength of the HLT SaaS platform.

“This transition will provide Velora with faster access to innovation, enhanced performance, and an infrastructure designed to support the next generation of digital air cargo operations.”

HLT’s SaaS architecture offers customers a fully managed, continuously evolving cargo management ecosystem. The successful migration of Velora’s system highlights that large-scale cargo management transitions can be executed smoothly and with minimal operational disruption.
