CHI Cargo Group (CHI) and Munich Airport (FMG) announce the successful merger of their cargo operations effective on January 1, 2025.
The merger positions CHI as the majority shareholder with a 74.9% stake, while FMG retains a strategic 25.1% share.
This partnership blends the strengths of a globally connected airport operator with the agility and flexibility of a family-owned logistics company.
Since the merger, Cargogate has further increased their efficiency and profitability within just 4 months of the beginning of operations, driven by shared resource utilization and process optimization.
At the same time the company achieved Platinum status by one of its major airline customers for the performance in April, underscoring its focus on quality and operational excellence.
Cargogate also secured early contract extensions with key customers and welcomes SCAT Airlines as a new partner.
