AirCairo Expands Cargo Strategy with Aeroprime Group Appointment
AirCairo has appointed Aeroprime Group as its exclusive cargo sales agent for India and the United Arab Emirates, as the airline looks to strengthen its freight operations across key international markets.
The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the two companies, with Aeroprime already serving as AirCairo’s passenger sales agent in India.
Strengthening Presence in High-Growth Markets
The expanded partnership reflects AirCairo’s broader strategy to grow its cargo business alongside its passenger operations, as demand for trade flows between Egypt, the Middle East and South Asia continues to rise.
Under the agreement, Aeroprime will manage cargo sales, operations and customer engagement across both markets, supporting the airline’s commercial expansion.
Leveraging Regional Expertise and Network
Aeroprime said it will utilise its regional network, digital platforms and established industry relationships to enhance AirCairo’s cargo performance and market reach.
Hussein Sherif, Chairman and CEO of AirCairo, described Aeroprime as a trusted partner and said extending the relationship into cargo was a natural next step.
He noted that the move would help strengthen the airline’s cargo offering and enable it to capitalise on growing trade demand to and from Egypt.
Integrated Passenger and Cargo Strategy
Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director and CEO of Aeroprime Group, said the appointment allows for a more integrated and strategic approach to market development, combining both passenger and cargo sales expertise.
He added that Aeroprime aims to drive performance improvements across both segments, supporting AirCairo’s growth ambitions in the region.
Airlines Focus on Diversified Revenue Streams
The development comes as airlines increasingly look to diversify revenue streams, with air cargo continuing to play a critical role in global aviation, driven by sustained demand for international trade, logistics and e-commerce shipments.
The partnership positions AirCairo to better capture opportunities in two of the world’s most dynamic cargo markets.
